As you may remember, a few weeks ago we had the pleasure of visiting Avi-Bio at their start-up hatchery. This is our second project in Poland, following the excellent results we had with BroMargo.
When we last met with Avi-Bio, they had just set their first setter. Within the first day, the setter only used 1.21Kwh/1000 eggs of electrical heating. Moreover, after three hours all heating had stopped.
The excellent results were in part thanks to the fast and efficient installation done by Krzysztof Kmiotek, our Technical Service Engineer who was supervising at Avi-Bio.
This complete hatchery refurbishment, utilising our PT18-82-17 setters and VT384-82 hatchers, facilitated a high capacity solution with a most efficient use of the available floor space. Our PrimoTech and VidaTech setter and hatcher range were the perfect fit.
Avi-Bio Invests in the EmTech Effect
Marcin, the owner of Avi-Bio, wanted to check on the progress of the hatch and inspect the chicks 12 hours before they were to be pulled from the hatcher.

As you can see, the chicks are very healthy. This is due to Avi-bio’s recent investment in the EmTech Effect. With a maximum temperature bandwidth of 0.6°C and an emphasis on achieving the tightest hatch window possible, the results speak for themselves.
Don’t just take our word for it

The result of this hatch is one of strong, healthy, excellent quality chicks. This is truly the EmTech Effect in action. However, this is not only just down to the quality of chicks but also to the condition of the egg shell debris. The very dry and clean condition of the eggs shell debris is an absolute testament to the EmTech Effect and the incredibly narrow hatch window.
It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Marcin and the rest of the Avi-Bio team. The project yielded excellent results with the 32-week Ross 308 flock achieving a HOS of 89.2%!
