Centurion Poultry, Inc., one of the largest independent suppliers of commercial layer chicks in the USA, has recently taken delivery of ten EmTech VT216 VidaTech Hatchers for their hatchery in Alabama. All the hatchers are now installed, commissioned, and hatching quality chicks.
The decision to go with EmTech a, then, very new UK company was made after the IPPE’16 Show in Atlanta where Gijs Schimmel, President of Centurion and Area Sales Manager, Claude Leroux, met Ken Baker, Mike Osmond and John Russell at EmTech’s booth.
‘The EmTech team and the superior quality of their hatchery equipment, impressed us immensely, said Gijs. ‘We knew that EmTech is a young company but were also well aware of their team’s reputation and pedigree in the poultry business over the last 25 years.’
Managing Director, Ken Baker added, ‘this was EmTech’s very first project in the US. We are sure that the US will be a big market for us and we were delighted that Centurion were the first to make the decision to buy our systems’.
Since its inception in 2015, EmTech has come a very long way in a very short time. Already they have gained many sizable projects in the UK, Asia, Mainland Europe and Australasia. Momentum is growing daily as equipment enquiries, parts, servicing and retrofit orders are received. Furthermore, their highly experienced team has doubled in less than one year to keep up with the pace of business.
