Towards the middle of December (2017), we saw the first eggs being set at the Bati Bati Hatchery for PT Japfa. With the full installation taking less than 4 weeks to complete, we were eager to see if the incredible progress we’d made so far would continue.
The first of many
Fast forward and we’ve now had the first two hatches off the machines. This is our first project with PT Japfa and, the first time working with the Indian River Breed.
After much anticipation, it seems that our patience was worth it. When the first hatch of the prime flock came off, it revealed an incredible figure. Exceeding our expectations, the first hatch came out at 93.01% with a saleability of 92.16%!
Moreover, the second hatch also performed exceptionally well, achieving impressive results with a hatch of 93.47% and a saleability of 92.57%!
The EmTech Effect in action
The results of this hatch are only the beginning. At 18:00hrs on the 28th December, just 1 or 2 chicks had hatched. However, at 20:00hrs the following day (29th December), over 80% of the chicks had now hatched.
At EmTech, we believe that a tight hatch window is the best indicator that your hatch is successful, and we’ve dedicated ourselves to proving this theory. The tighter the hatch window, the better the quantity, quality and liveability of the chicks and the results we’ve seen at Bati Bati are proof of this fact. Achieving such a figure in the small space of 12 hours is truly a testament to the EmTech Effect.
These factors combined with the excellent quality of chicks has been the best New Year surprise we could have asked for. A great start to 2018 with our first hatch of the year coming from our very first, installation in South East Asia.
A dedicated support network
We’d like to give a mention to our very own Jose Rizal, EmTech’s Asia Technical Sales Manager. Having been on hand from the very start, Jose provided excellent support throughout this project. Using this as a chance to gain an even deeper understanding of our machines, Jose has been there every step of the way.
Furthermore, Paul Mercieca also travelled to Bati Bati. As one of our Technical Service Engineers, Paul oversaw the entire installation of the project. He is now returning to the hatchery to meet up with Jose and the Japfa team to supervise the project’s completion. Ensuring that everything is up to scratch through final checks and some fine tuning.
Our EmTech team are dedicated to ensuring that each of our customers receives the highest level of service support. When it comes to incubation, we employ a no-nonsense approach. And, it’s because of this, that we’ve received such a fantastic reception of the EmTech Effect throughout the Poultry industry.
We’d like to express our greatest gratitude and appreciation to the PT Japfa team. This has been an extraordinary experience and one we’ll remember for a long time. With the new year upon us, we can’t wait to see what else 2018 brings. We look forward to securing more future successes and bringing the EmTech Effect to even further reaches of the world.
